Frozen berries with a white chocolate sauce

The simplest of desserts and perfect on a hot evening as the warm sauce slowly raises the temperature of the frozen berries

Emily's option

I like to use mixed frozen berries for variety but this would work with a single type of berry or with non-frozen berries. I like the coolness and bite of frozen berries with the deliciously warmed white chocolate sauce.


  • 500g mixed frozen berries
  • 150mL double cream
  • 140g white chocolate


1 To make the sauce: pour the double cream into a small saucepan and break in the chocolate. Heat gently, stirring, until the chocolate melts into a smooth sauce. Take care not to overheat or the chocolate will become a lumpy and hard. Remove from the heat.

2 Scatter the frozen berries onto 4 dessert plates or into 4 shallow bowls. Pour the hot chocolate sauce over the fruits and serve immediately, as the fruits start to defrost.
